Search is underway in mountains of Perm Krai for unregistered group of tourists

A search is underway in the Perm Krai for an unregistered tourist group that failed to arrive at the designated meeting point, the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said, APA reports citing TASS.

According to local media, on December 13, a group of 13 tourists from the Sverdlovsk region were heading to Mount Oslyanka on snowmobiles. They lost contact before descending from the summit.

"The emergency response team of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Perm Krai received information that an unregistered tourist group failed to arrive at the designated meeting point at the address: Srednyaya Usva, Kizelovsky Municipal District. Twelve personnel and six pieces of equipment from the Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies are being deployed to verify the information," the statement reads.
