The "service car" of Samvel Shahramanyan, who was one of the leaders of the Garabagh separatists, was confiscated in connection with illegal drug trafficking in Armenia, Investigative Committee of Armenia said, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
On June 21, special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia took Samvel Shahramanyan's car away from the area with a tow truck. At that time, the reasons for confiscating the car were not disclosed.
Now, the Investigative Committee, which clarified the issue, said that the car was confiscated within the framework of the criminal case related to the illegal circulation of drugs.
Note that in February of this year, Samvel Shahramanyan's bodyguard Ashot Danielyan was detained by law enforcement bodies.
Danielyan, who was released two days later, was suspected of possessing and selling drugs.
