Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) opened on Friday a criminal case against Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin over the latter's calls for rebellion against the country's Ministry of Defense, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of calling for an armed rebellion. We demand that illegal actions be stopped immediately," Russian National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) revealed in a statement.
Earlier, Prigozhin claimed in a message posted on his social media that the Russian MoD struck its rear camp, adding that numerous soldiers lost their lives as a result of the attack and stressing that "evil brought on by the military leadership" of Russia will be stopped. The ministry denied the accusations, deeming them false.
