Russia has provided foreign airlines with the necessary explanations regarding threats made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
“Colleagues approached us for explanations, and we provided all the necessary explanations,” the Russian minister said.
Nikitin emphasized that the “absolute majority” of companies flying to Russia cooperate very closely with the authorities and understand all of Russia’s rules and standards, as well as how flight safety is monitored.
It should be noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy threatened Moscow that they would close Russian airspace.
