Russian top diplomat calls attacks with ATACMS missiles a signal of the West's desire for escalation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the attacks on the Bryansk region with ATACMS missiles a signal that the West wants escalation, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Lavrov said this at a press conference after the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, the repeated use of ATACMS in the Bryansk region today is, of course, a sign of escalation.

"It is impossible to use these high-tech missiles without the Americans, Putin has repeatedly said this. The Russian President warned that if the range of up to 300 km that they are currently discussing is confirmed, how will our position change? In fact, this is not consent to Ukraine's use of long-range missiles, but an announcement that they will now hit up to 300 km," Lavrov noted.
