Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in a plane crash in the Kazakh city of Aktau, APA's Russian bureau reports.
Putin made the remarks during an informal summit of CIS heads of state in St. Petersburg.
He said that a plane from the Russian Emergencies Ministry with medical personnel and equipment had flown to the crash site in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
Putin expressed confidence that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the plane crash in Aktau.
Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
