The negotiation process will take place with the participation of both Russia and Ukraine, said Russian President Vladimir Putin, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, no one is excluding Ukraine from this process.

Putin mentioned that he said these during his phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. He added that the negotiations will take place with the participation of Moscow and Kyiv, and no one is excluding Ukraine from this process: "I can confirm this."

"Russia is ready to return to the negotiation table with Ukraine," he said.

According to him, the purpose of the meeting between the U.S. and Russia in Riyadh was to increase trust: "It is impossible to resolve the Ukraine crisis without increasing the level of trust between Russia and the U.S. Russia has never refused dialogue with Europe or Ukraine. The Europeans themselves stopped their relations with Moscow, and Kyiv even imposed a ban on talks with Russia."

Putin, speaking about the meeting held in Riyadh, noted that there were "completely different people" on the American side during the negotiations who were unbiased and fair: "There is no need for mediators in the dialogue between Russia and the U.S."

Putin emphasized that he would be happy to meet with Trump but stressed the importance of being well-prepared for the meeting. The Russian president stated that it is not enough to simply meet with Trump.

Putin also added that he is not ready to say when the meeting with Trump could take place.

"Trump promised to resolve the Ukraine crisis quickly, but after receiving information from the president's office, he changed his position, which is natural," the Russian president emphasized.
