“The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to strike the positions of the Russian Armed Forces and civilian facilities in the border region using drones and artillery despite the ceasefire," APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that 1,365 ceasefire violations by Ukraine were recorded in the special military operation zone (the Ukraine conflict zone – ed.).
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that outside the “special military operation” zone, air defense forces shot down 390 Ukrainian drones and six Neptune missiles.
“Under these conditions, the Russian Armed Forces responded in kind to the ceasefire violations. Strikes were carried out on their multiple launch rocket systems, artillery and mortar firing positions, as well as command posts and UAV launch sites,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Note that Russia declared a unilateral ceasefire from 00:00 on May 8 until May 10.
