Moscow cannot ignore the processes taking place in Armenia, such as the adoption of amendments to the Electoral Code, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to her, these amendments may impose significant restrictions on the names of political forces participating in elections.
“You know, it is important that this is not done deliberately to limit the opposition’s electoral opportunities. Because we remember that Nikol Pashinyan, during his recent meeting with the Russian president, said ‘Armenia is a democratic country’ while speaking about the upcoming elections,” she noted.
