“The West is trying to realize a new "Maidan" scenario in Georgia by October to create a new source of tension near the borders of the Russian Federation,” said Mikhail Galuzin, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

“We see the attempts of Westerners to aggravate the situation in Georgia amid the context of parliamentary elections to be held in October. We do not rule out that the goal is to try to realize the "Maidan" scenario of a change of power in the hope of creating another source of tension near the Russian borders,” – Russian diplomat underscored.

According to him, United States and EU countries are putting pressure on many sovereign states.
