Russian MFA reveals details of Lavrov-Aragchi meeting -UPDATED

On July 15, a meeting was held between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tianjin, China, within the framework of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, APA's Moscow correspondent reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It was noted that the parties continued to exchange views on issues of mutual interest on the regional and international agenda. The importance of resolving the crisis surrounding Iran's nuclear program through purely political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law was once again emphasized.

The ministers agreed on future contacts at various levels.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova shared on her Telegram channel, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

She wrote that the ministers met in Tianjin, China.

Note that a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states is being held in Tianjin.
