The Official of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Maria Zakharova commented on the remarks by the speaker of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan, regarding tax collection from the Armenian Church, Zakharova posted on her Telegram channel, APA reports.
Zakharova, on her post, compared Simonyan's speech with the ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko's proposal to completely ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church.
“Why are those who are fed by Westerners get literally demonized??” , Zakharova said.
