The presence of the Russian 102nd Military Base and Russian border guards is the only real guarantee of Armenia's sovereignty, this was noted in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia that comments on the provisions of the report of the organization "Network of Friends of Armenia", APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
It was noted that the EU’s “security suggestions” are completely contrary to common sense: “The presence of Russian 102nd Military Base and Russian border guards is the only real guarantee of Armenia's sovereignty. The idea that their withdrawal will somehow strengthen the military potential of the republic is dangerous demagoguery. The West, which forces us to rethink the current security system today, offers nothing specific in return.”.
