Russia's stance on the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Armenia's accession to this court is well known to everyone, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said during a briefing today, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, Armenia's participation in the Rome Statute of the ICC harms Russian-Armenian relations directly, especially against the backdrop of the Hague tribunal issuing arrest warrants for several Russian officials: "This is not symbolic damage, but rather practical damage. If Armenia's cooperation with the ICC truly contributed to strengthening any international norms, it would be understandable and even commendable. However, the two decades of experience of this 'pseudo-court' suggest otherwise."
