"Armenia risks its security by cooperating with the West," the Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said, APA reports.
"In Armenia, they prefer to increase their interaction with NATO - naturally, this is a strange occurrence. They participated in the alliance summit held in Washington and conducted joint military maneuvers. A clear example of this is the 'Eagle Partner 2024' joint U.S.-Armenia exercises held in the country. This is not only regrettable but also raises concerns for Armenia's future because the EU and the U.S. have repeatedly engaged in such machinations with many countries. You know very well how this ends: they get used and then discarded as unnecessary," Zakharova stated,
Zakharova noted that Moscow expects additional steps from Yerevan regarding the opening of the Russian Federation's Consulate General in Gafan, including considering the principle of parity and reciprocity, which is accepted in diplomatic practice.
