Russian, Iranian Top Diplomats discussed the "3+3" format

On October 10, at the initiative of the Iranian side, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, APA's Moscow correspondent reports citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ministers exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing the further escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The importance of the immediate cessation of the armed conflict and the resolution of the situation on international legal grounds was emphasized.

The heads of foreign affairs of Russia and Iran also discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus.

The ministers expressed their support for the soon resumption of joint work within the framework of the "3+3" format for the South Caucasus.
