More than 70,000 foreign nationals were deported from Russia in 2025 for violations of the law, said Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He said that 72,000 foreigners were expelled from the country last year for breaking the law.
Kolokoltsev noted that Interior Ministry officials could identify even more violators subject to deportation, but this would require funding.
“Unfortunately, we also need funding for these issues and for the implementation of your legislative initiatives,” the minister emphasized.
