The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the holding of the inauguration ceremony of Delcy Rodríguez as Acting President of Venezuela and wishes her success, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“This step demonstrates the Bolivarian government’s determination to ensure unity and, in accordance with national legislation, preserve the established vertical structure of power, reduce the risks of a constitutional crisis, and create the necessary conditions for Venezuela’s sustainable, peaceful, and stable development in the face of overt neocolonial threats and armed aggression from outside,” the statement reads.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that it is ready to continue providing assistance to Venezuela, called for allowing the republic to independently “determine its own destiny without any destructive external interference,” and urged dialogue.
The statement also emphasized that “Latin America and the Caribbean must remain a zone of peace, and the sovereign development of the countries of the region must be ensured.”
It should be noted that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez was sworn in as acting president of the country.
Recall that on January 3, the United States conducted a military operation in Venezuela, and airborne forces detained Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
