The UN may face the same fate as the OSCE, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during the Government Hour session in the Federation Council, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He said that in order for the UN not to repeat the fate of the OSCE, it is necessary to think seriously about its future.
“Of course, we will demand that the UN stop playing a one-sided game, including ending the ‘Ukrainization’ of the Secretariat’s work, where senior positions have been effectively privatized by Western countries and all policies are dictated by NATO and EU members,” Lavrov emphasized.
The Russian foreign minister added that political, peacekeeping, and humanitarian issues at the UN are currently in the hands of Western countries.
