The U.S. operation in Venezuela is illegal, and the vast majority of countries around the world share this position, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, this involves a gross violation of international law by the United States.
Lavrov emphasized that Russia remains committed to its agreements with Venezuela.
“Our position remains unchanged. This position is principled and is based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states whose governments naturally represent the interests of their entire populations, and Venezuela is precisely such a state,” the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
