Territorial change is essential for a peace agreement, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with one of the television channels, APA reports, citing The Telegraph.
He noted that territorial change is usually a very important component in resolving conflicts, and for Moscow, the acceptability of a peace agreement depends on ensuring Russia’s security.
“There can be no talk of a long-term agreement without respect for the rights of Russians and Russian-speaking people in Ukraine,” Lavrov stressed.
The Russian Foreign Minister also confirmed that U.S. President Donald Trump had received an official invitation to visit Russia.
“I think this visit would be interesting for everyone,” Lavrov said.
