Russian FM refused to disclose details of conversation with Rubio

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has refused to disclose details of his conversation with his American counterpart, U.S. Secretary of State Mark Rubio, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

Lavrov holding a press conference summarizing his participation in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) forum, did not disclose the details of his talks with Rubio.

“I want to respond with Trump’s words: ‘Here’s what I’ll tell you. Expect big surprises.’ I don’t know about big surprises, but there are things that are not to be commented on,” Lavrov said.

According to him, the situation in Ukraine was discussed during the meeting with Rubio, and the position voiced earlier by Vladimir Putin — including in his July 3 conversation with Donald Trump — was reaffirmed.

When asked about the alleged reports that Trump discussed "bombing" Moscow and Beijing, Lavrov simply replied, “We discussed serious matters.”
