Russian FM met with ambassadors of CIS countries

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held the traditional meeting in Moscow with ambassadors accredited to Russia from the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), APA’s Moscow bureau reports citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Azerbaijan’s ambassador, Rahman Mustafayev, also participated in the meeting.

The gathering was attended by CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev and heads of executive bodies of other Eurasian structures.

Participants exchanged views on current international issues and reviewed the results of multilateral cooperation within the framework of Eurasian integration unions in 2025.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, tasks for the near future were identified, including strengthening the coordination of foreign policy, increasing cooperation in trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, and ensuring regional security.
