Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri discussed the situation in Garabagh, Syria, and Afghanistan during talks held in Tehran, said the Russian Defense Minister talks with his Iranian counterpart, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
"There are many issues that need to be discussed today and tomorrow. This includes, of course, Syria, Afghanistan, and today what is happening in your northern neighbor - Garabagh. In addition, it includes education, exchange of experience, exchange of delegations, and joint naval exercises. I consider our meeting to be the next step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between Russia and Iran. Today, we have the opportunity to discuss in detail the current issues of bilateral military cooperation," Shoigu said.
