Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko confirmed on Monday that Russia's deal with the United Nations on grain exports will remain in effect regardless of the future of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which will expire next month, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"If Western countries are interested in ensuring food security, they should really take the path of lifting any restrictions and illegal sanctions regarding Russian grain and fertilizers," Russian media Ria Novosti cited Grushko as saying.

Russian President Vladimir Putin hinted last week that Moscow is considering dropping out of the Black Sea Grain Initiative as Ukraine uses food export corridors to conduct drone attacks.
