A prisoner exchange has taken place between Russia and Ukraine, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It was stated that the Russian side returned 300 prisoners to Kyiv, while Ukraine handed over 300 Russian prisoners to Moscow.
It should be noted that the agreement on the prisoner exchange was reached during talks held in Geneva at the end of February. On March 5, a “200-for-200” prisoner exchange was also carried out between Moscow and Kyiv. The Russian side stated that the exchange was conducted with the mediation of the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
