# 06 May 2025 14:52 (UTC +04:00)

Foreign citizens from visa-free countries will soon need a QR code to enter Russia - starting from June 30, travelers must obtain a QR code in advance via the Gosuslugi RuID platform, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

Registration is required at least three days before travel, during which applicants must submit personal information, itinerary, travel purpose, and upload necessary documents. In emergency cases, registration can be completed up to four hours before arrival.

The QR code will be valid for 90 days, but does not guarantee entry, as final approval remains at the discretion of border officers. Additionally, travelers must provide biometric data at the border.

Exemptions apply to Belarusian citizens, diplomats, and children under 6 years old.

The system will operate in pilot mode until June 2026.
