The Russian Navy has started "Ocean-2024" planned strategic military exercises in the Pacific Ocean, Arctic Ocean, as well as the Mediterranean, Caspian and Baltic Seas, the Russian Ministry of Defense released information in this regard on its Telegram channel, APA reports.
Reported that 400 warships, submarines, and support ships will participate in the maneuvers.
The main purpose of the exercises is to test the readiness of the Navy to use high-precision weapons and other types of weapons.
In the first stage, the groups will be concentrated in pre-designated combat training areas, and in the second stage, tasks will be carried out to disable the strategic objects and forces of the conventional enemy, engage landing forces, as well as protect economic objects in the sea.
The Ministry also informed that military personnel of Russia's partner states were also invited to the exercises.
