Russia, unlike Europe, sees the U.S. as wanting to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Moscow sees that the U.S., unlike Europe, wants to investigate the root causes of the Ukraine conflict.
Lavrov emphasized that the Trump administration understood Zelenskyy's hatred toward the Russians and realized that he would have to accept territorial losses.
Lavrov said that Russia will never hand over the Russian people living in Ukraine to Zelenskyy's government: "They also understand that, as Zelenskyy continues to demand, returning to the 1991 borders is impossible."
