Russia has paid attention to Türkiye's statement on the possibility of acquiring nuclear weapons, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia considers the nuclear non-proliferation regime to be the cornerstone of nuclear security.
Peskov stressed that Russia expects responsible behavior from nuclear-weapon states to prevent a global nuclear proliferation race: "After all, there is a non-proliferation regime, and this is the cornerstone of security. We paid attention to this statement. Most importantly, we believe that all nuclear club countries will act responsibly to prevent any manifestation of a nuclear arms race."
