Russia is ready to resume transit via the Druzhba oil pipeline, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
He said everything depends on Kyiv:
“At present, the Russian side is ready for this from a technological standpoint. We have contractual obligations with Hungary. However, supplies via the pipeline were halted after blackmail began from Kyiv. Now everything depends on Kyiv. Will they open the pipeline, will they stop the blackmail?!”
Note that the Bloomberg agency reported yesterday, citing sources, that Ukraine expects to resume oil supplies on April 21.
Recall that at the beginning of February this year, Kyiv halted transit citing damage to the Druzhba pipeline. Hungary and Slovakia, which receive oil via the Druzhba pipeline, reacted sharply to this move.
