The Russian side is ready to hold consultations with Yerevan regarding the parameters of the “Trump route” initiative, Mikhail Kalugin, Director of the Fourth Department for CIS Countries at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told RIA Novosti, APA reports.
According to him, the details of the Armenia–U.S. project still need to be studied, but Moscow is open to discussing both the content of the initiative and Russia’s possible participation.
Kalugin noted that “there are sufficient grounds for this.” The diplomat emphasized that the discussion essentially concerns a part of the route previously agreed upon within the framework of a trilateral working group.
