A proposal has been made to consider the organization of a border crossing point on the Russia–Ukraine border, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
The suggestion was put forward by Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Tatyana Moskalkova.
She proposed examining the issue to allow Russian citizens currently in Ukraine to reunite with their families by creating a border crossing point.
According to the ombudsman, the foreign passports of Russian citizens in Ukraine have expired, and they are unable to leave the country even via third countries.
