Poverty and debt burden have increased in Russia, it was stated in the analysis of the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-Term Forecasting (MTQPM), APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
It was noted that negative tendencies in the Russian economy outweigh the successes.
The analysis reflects among the negative factors the further impoverishment of the poor population and the increase in the debt burden.
It was emphasized that inflation in the consumption basket of low-income households (primarily food) has increased significantly.
"Accordingly, the actual welfare indicator of the poor population is still lower than it was a year ago," the MTQPM analysis stated.
