Moscow fired what appeared to be one of its largest missile and drone attacks against multiple Ukrainian cities overnight, APA reports citing euronews.com.
Russia launched a record 728 drones into Ukraine overnight, Ukrainian air forces said on Wednesday.
Defence systems destroyed 718 of the drones and seven missiles, the air force said on Telegram, in what appears to be one of Moscow's largest assaults on Ukraine in the three-year war.
The western city of Lutsk came under fire, according to local media. In Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced Russian drones were attacking the city centre and air defences were shooting down targets.
