"Russia is prepared to mediate between Israel and Iran to help resolve the ongoing conflict if necessary," said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, the Russian Federation is ready to do everything necessary to address the root causes of the Middle East crisis. “Russia is in contact with both Iran and Israel and emphasizes the need to prevent actions that threaten the lives of Russian citizens,” he stated.
Peskov also stressed that Russia condemns actions leading to dangerous escalation in the Middle East, while noting that the West has not condemned Israel’s strikes on Iran.
