Russia and Ukraine exchanged bodies for the first time this year, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
The exchange took place in a ratio of 1,000 to 38.
It was reported that Russia handed over the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers to Kyiv, while Ukraine handed over the bodies of 38 Russian soldiers to Moscow.

The process of exchanging bodies between Russia and Ukraine has begun, said Shamsail Saraliyev, a deputy of the Russian State Duma, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
The last such exchange took place on November 20 of last year. During that exchange, Russia handed over the bodies of 1,000 people to Ukraine, and Kyiv returned the bodies of 30 Russian servicemen.
Agreements on the exchange of bodies were reached during the Istanbul talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations last year.
