The head of the German diplomatic mission has been summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to the statement, Russia, in response, is expelling an employee of the German Embassy in Moscow.
A strong protest was lodged with the head of the German diplomatic mission in Moscow in connection with a staff member of the Russian Embassy in Germany being declared persona non grata.
It was noted that Russia views Germany’s actions as a low-level provocation aimed at discrediting the Russian diplomatic mission in Germany.
