Russia condemns interference in Iran's domestic political processes and considers threats of new military strikes against the country unacceptable, it was stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry's responses to media questions received during Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's press conference on the results of Russian diplomacy in 2025, APA reports.
"We strongly condemn subversive external interference in Iran's domestic political processes. It is especially noteworthy that the country's government is committed to constructive dialogue with society in search of effective ways to neutralize the negative socioeconomic consequences of the West's hostile policies. Threats of new military strikes against the Islamic Republic are absolutely unacceptable," the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
"Those planning to use foreign-inspired unrest as a pretext for repeating the aggression against Iran committed in June 2025 must be aware of the dire consequences of such actions for the situation in the Middle East, as well as global international security. We also resolutely reject brazen attempts to blackmail Iran's foreign partners by raising trade tariffs," the Russian diplomatic mission stated.
