Russia considers 3+3 regional cooperation platform very promising - FM

"Regional issues, including the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, were discussed at the meeting of the Russian and Armenian foreign ministers," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference following his talks with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, Moscow is ready to assist Yerevan and Baku, if they are interested, in all areas of normalization of relations, including the development of the provisions of a peace treaty, the delimitation and demarcation of borders, and the opening of economic and transport communications in the region. "Of course, Russia is also ready to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in humanitarian issues."

Lavrov also said at the meeting that they confirmed their interest in the future activities of the 3+3 regional cooperation format: "The three South Caucasus countries and their three neighbors, Russia, Iran, and Türkiye... We consider this platform to be very promising."
