Russia’s Armed Forces’ “West” group of troops has captured the city of Kupiansk, said Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov at a meeting of the ministry’s collegium held with the participation of President Vladimir Putin, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, fighting for Konstantinovka is currently ongoing.
The Russian minister said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost approximately 500,000 servicemen.
Belousov noted that more than 70% of thermal power plants and over 37% of hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine have been put out of operation.
The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that Kyiv’s energy capacity has been reduced by more than twofold.
