The "Upper Lars" international checkpoint in Georgia, which connects Armenia with Russia, has been closed to freight trucks in both directions, Vaan Hakobyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation told Sputnik Armenia, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to him, due to snowfall on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, the movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers has been prohibited.
It was also noted that the road remains open for passenger cars.
