Red Wings Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Omsk due to technical issue

A Red Wings Airlines aircraft flying from Yekaterinburg to Gorno-Altaysk made a landing at Omsk Central Airport due to a technical malfunction, APA reports, citing foreign media.

According to the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation has been launched into the incident.

“The Omsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out oversight measures to protect passengers’ rights to receive a number of required services in the event of a flight delay,” the statement said.

According to preliminary information, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft made an unscheduled landing at Omsk Airport. Passengers have been accommodated in the terminal building.
