Railway project linking Russia, Georgia and Armenia via Abkhazia presented in Moscow

A railway and highway connection project between Russia, Georgia and Armenia along the Black Sea coast, called “Putin’s Road,” has been presented in Moscow, Vektor Kavkaza reports.

According to the report, at an international conference titled “Prospects for the Development of Transport and Logistics Networks in the South Caucasus,” held in Moscow on September 28, pro-Kremlin research institutions presented a railway and highway project between Russia, Georgia and Armenia via the Black Sea coast called “Putin’s Road.” It was reported that the plan, developed by Vladislav Gasumyanov, Director of Russia’s National Research Institute for Communications Development, is being actively lobbied by a number of Armenian experts.
