The Kremlin has commented on a Politico report that French President Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed the possibility of joint nuclear weapons exercises, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said the information indicates Europe’s ambitions for militarization and nuclearization.
“It is necessary to clarify the details, including what specific weapons and which countries are being discussed. However, this once again undoubtedly shows that Europe has ambitions for further militarization and nuclearization in terms of nuclear weapons. This is something that does not contribute to stability and predictability on the European continent,” the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
