The use of nuclear weapons is theoretically possible, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his speech at the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum,APA's Russian bureau reports.
Putin said that he has a negative attitude towards the use of nuclear weapons. He said that this weapon can be used only when there is a threat to the existence of the Russian Federation.
Putin also noted that Russia has more tactical nuclear weapons than NATO. "That's why NATO wants to reduce them together with us. But we won't do it."
