President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, held a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing the Kremlin press service.
Parties discussed further development of Russia–Kazakhstan relations, as well as the implementation of agreements on a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
Putin confirmed his participation in the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which will be held in Astana at the end of May. Tokayev invited the Russian president to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan in connection with this event. Putin gratefully accepted the invitation.
In addition, they discussed current issues on the international agenda.
