A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has begun in Moscow, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
The Russian-Syrian talks are being held in the Kremlin.
The Russian delegation to the talks includes Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin, and Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) Igor Kostyukov.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for an official visit to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, APA reports, citing SANA.
The discussions will focus on bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
President al-Sharaa previously visited Moscow on October 15 last year and discussed with President Putin at the Kremlin ways to enhance strategic cooperation across various fields.
President Putin, in turn, praised the longstanding relations between Russia and Syria and called for resuming the activities of the Russian-Syrian Joint Governmental Committee to further strengthen bilateral ties.
