Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized the West, particularly European and American countries, for what he referred to as a "hoax" regarding the distribution of food under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Speaking at a meeting with leaders and representatives of African countries, Putin claimed that out of the 31.7 million tons of grain exported, only 3% was allocated to Africa.
The agreement, inked between Ukraine and Russia, was backed by Türkiye and the United Nations in order to lift the blockade installed in the Black Sea when Moscow launched its military operation in Ukraine last year.
