“Russia will continue to do everything for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said this while accepting the credentials of foreign ambassadors in the Kremlin, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
The Russian President emphasized that the cooperation with Armenia and Azerbaijan was established in the spirit of true alliance.
"We have done and are still doing everything for the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations and the ensuring of lasting peace in the South Caucasus. We will continue to work on a peace treaty, help delimit the state border, and unblock economic and transport relations at the highest level in accordance with also known tripartite agreements [signed] in 2020-2022.
I cannot not express my satisfaction with the fact that the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia took advantage of the platform of the BRICS Kazan summit to have a useful talk about the fundamental issues related to the achievement of sustainable peace and inter-ethnic harmony in the region," - Putin concluded.
